Pet entry requirements: Cat → Greenland
These are the requirements for entering Greenland with a cat, based on a departure from Germany/the EU. Requirements can change — always confirm with the relevant authority before you travel.

Import permit Required
An import permit from Greenland's Representation (Copenhagen) is mandatory for cats; it is only issued once all other requirements are proven (municipal permit to keep a cat, rabies vaccination, health certificate, declaration on tapeworm treatment and isolation). Permit, certificates and declarations must accompany the animal on the journey.
Microchip Required
Cats (over 12 weeks) must be permanently identified by microchip. The source names no ISO standard.
Rabies vaccination Required
Rabies vaccination mandatory; at entry at least 30 days and at most 12 months (365 days) old. The Greenlandic limits apply, not the validity stated in the EU pet passport. Figures kept as text only because both sources restate the same Greenlandic norm (two-source rule not met).
Parasite treatment Required
Treatment by a veterinarian against fox tapeworm and parasites no earlier than 14 days before travel (usually together with the health certificate). From issue of the certificate/deworming until departure the cat must be isolated from other animals; the owner signs a declaration (at the bottom of the certificate).
Health certificate Required
Health certificate from a veterinarian, at most 14 days old at travel (template of Fødevarestyrelsen/VFMG); the owner's declaration on isolation/tapeworm treatment is part of the certificate. Figure kept as text only (two-source rule not met).
Registration Required
A permit to keep the cat from the Greenlandic municipality of residence is required beforehand (apply directly to the municipality); prerequisite for the import permit.

Cats under 12 weeks (kittens under 3 months) have their own special rules (rabies protection via the mother or own vaccination + 30 days, revaccination at 4-6 months in Greenland) — not captured as fields.
