Pet entry requirements: Dog → Peru
These are the requirements for entering Peru with a dog, based on a departure from Germany/the EU. Requirements can change — always confirm with the relevant authority before you travel.

Rabies vaccination is mandatory for dogs and cats from 3 months of age and must be shown as current on the certificate. No post-vaccination waiting period stated.
Minimum age / young animals Required

Dog: parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis (HCC), leptospirosis; cat: panleukopenia — stated on the certificate
Parasite treatment Required
Internal and external deworming/parasite treatment, per newer sources (2022, 2024) within 30 days before travel; the older page (2020) says 15 days.
Health certificate Required
On entry to Peru (dogs and cats): original official export health certificate from the authority of the country of origin listing current vaccinations (dog: parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, rabies) and health status; plus application and fee; clinical inspection by SENASA on arrival.
Breed restrictions Required
No import ban; Ley 27596: American Pit Bull Terrier + crosses = "potentially dangerous", owner conditions
Registration Required
Potentially dangerous dogs: registration + licence with the municipality of residence (Ley 27596)
