Pet entry requirements: Dog → Saint-Pierre and Miquelon
These are the requirements for entering Saint-Pierre and Miquelon with a dog, based on a departure from Germany/the EU. Requirements can change — always confirm with the relevant authority before you travel.

Microchip Required
Identification by electronic microchip is mandatory; tattoos are not recognised for animals born after 1 July 2011. The identifying vet issues the identification document (chip number, date, breed, colour, date of birth, stamp and signature).
Rabies vaccination Required
Valid rabies vaccination required; entry only once immunity is established (vaccination from the 12th week of age; immunity counts as acquired 21 days after the injection unless the manufacturer states otherwise). The vaccination is only recognised if the animal was already identified (chip the same day or earlier).
Health certificate Required
Health certificate (certificat de bonne santé) issued less than 10 days before introduction; for animals from non-EU countries the DTAM provides a form. For animals from the EU all the information is recorded in the EU pet passport.
Breed restrictions Prohibited
Category 1 dogs (dangerous dogs) are banned from import into SPM (Art. D274-20 Code rural). Category 2 dogs may be imported with the necessary supporting documents; a declaration at the town hall (mairie) of the municipality of residence is mandatory.
